Using UWP DLLs in Unity3D RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have some game components (ie derived from UnityEngine.dll's MonoBehavior) that I put in a DLL that I dragged and dropped int \Assets\Plugins folder in my Unity3D class.

Yet I cannot add the components I created to any game objects, because when I go to the menu to add a component, I select New Script, which does not give any of my components in the list of options.

What should I do?  I tried these already with no success:

    https://docs.unity3d.com/Manual/windowsstore-plugins.html

This #if !UNITYEDITOR compiler directive didn't work for me.

    https://forum.unity.com/threads/solved-monobehaviour-components-in-dll-used-in-unityeditor.47564/

I cannot reference my namespace in the Unity script, even if I put my DLLS into \Assets\Plugins.

    What am I doing wrong?

  • Hello DerrickLau,

Please try post your issue to Unity forum instead of here. The UWP forum is about writing UWP apps itself. Unity forum is better for your issue.

    Best regards,

    Barry
