how to display a report in IFrame in CRM, when CRM is in offline mode (all network connections are disabled)? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi

I have created a SSRS report and uploaded it to report server. On my Opportunity product form i am using a IFrame to display this report.

I am passing parameters to this report by checking " Pass record object-type code and unique identifier as parameters " checkbox on iframe.

Iframe is displaying report as i wish in online mode only. when i changed the crm to offline mode and disabled all the network connections , IFrame is not displaying report,, its giving me error message "Internet explorer cannot display the web page". How can i display the report in CRM offline mode with all network connections disabled?

can anybody help me , its urgent. Thanks in advance.

  • As the iframe is fetching the report from the server therefore it would not work when discounted from network. Check whether the reports which are in report manager are runiing?

  • Hi Sandeep,

I think Faisal has already anwsered your question when he said "As the iframe is fetching the report from the server therefore it would not work when discounted from network." Contrary to CRM outlook offline client, a SSRS instance is not created so you will not be able to run any report being offline, I mean yo can still see CRM forms because a web site is created in your client machine but SSRS doesn't.

  • What about the data group. Have you sync the data locally which you want to view in this iframe?

  • Do you mean by creating a local data group for the entity , that i am using in my report?

  • Yes, check related entities(links) if something is missing that might be causing the error

  • Does the URL point to the Cassini-hosted, SSRS Redistributable when in Offline mode?

  • is there any possible work around to make it working.
    Thursday, February 10, 2011 5:50 PM
  • It seems to be possible just if you are running CRM reports but not external reports.
