What is Microsfit doing all of a sudden people are getting the software is not valid even if it is ona oem computer. I am a technet subsriber and will no longer be after Jan because of some dumb management decsions. I am a die hard Microsoft guy or used to be but lately I am really starting to go to something more depenable and less of a hassle to key up and usable. I am having the same issue but my software says it is valid when I go into check it in the contro;l panel properites but still get this pop up about it is not a valid software. this is a real bad deal Microsoft.

(You forgot the link, Kamin :) )
To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool
(download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
- **in your own thread**, please
Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine (or inside the battery compartment), but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!

It may be a malware or simple file corruption. If you want to find out what is causing it, read this thread and follow the directions. Post your diagnostic here when done.Tuesday, July 30, 2013 2:22 PM
