Regarding exam 70-461 RRS feed

  • Question

  • I know by passing the exam 70-433, you would be getting a certificate as MCTS. What certificate would awarded if you complete the exam 70-461? Will you be getting a MCTS certificate or will it be counted as MCP?

Because there was no mentioning on the certificate in the Microsoft exam site.

Exam 70-461: Querying Microsoft SQL Server 2012: counts as credit toward the following certification(s):

Any clarification on this is highly appreciated.

  • This exam would count as credit toward as an MCSA in SQL Server 2012. You would need to pass 462 and 463 to earn the MCSA in SQL Server 2012.

  • Appreciate taking time for the reply. My question was what if one have passed only one exam 461 and not attempting the other two exams: 462 and 463? Will it be accounted as MCP or will it be of no value till you complete the other two exams?

Like for MCAD for .NET 2.0, individual exams were considered as MCP and cumulative of all the required exams would award us MCAD/MCSD. Is this something the same?
