IFD Enviorment fort mscrm 2011 access without port number in url RRS feed

  • Dear all;

    i have setup IFD for external use which is working fine but for access from internet we have to the address like


    i want it so we dont need to put the port in the url

    any suggestion

  • If you don't want the port number in the URL, you have to use the standard port for the protocol. For https, that is 443.

  • Yes, if you do not want to specify the port number in the url you have to reconfigure the crm server.

    The request always contains the port number, but the browser adds the port number "behind the scene" when it's a known protocol like http(80),https(443) or ftp(21) etc..

  • Change the binding in IIS to use 443 instead of 444. Also change the URLs in Deployment Manager and probably ideally re-run the Claims and IFD wizards. Then recheck your ADFS / IFD configuration is working internally.

    If ADFS is on the same server as CRM, you will want to get this on to a different port such as 444. This is not so straightforward, but this post may help you (written to do the opposite and get both onto 443, but the method for changing the URL ACL reservations is the same):
