A good point. I'm attempting to use SyncToy to synch folders on an NTFS hard disc with a FAT flash drive. Interestingly, it appears to be the modification times of the files in the NTFS folders that SyncToy gets wrong. I conclude this because another synch utility (LapLink Gold 12) reports that the times on the NTFS files are the same as the times on the FAT files and the times reported by LapLink are the same as those reported by Windows Explorer 7. SyncToy, however, reports times earlier (always 8 hours) for the NTFS files - though, as mentioned, only for some of them. Another peculiarity is that, though the NTFS files are earlier, SyncToy wants to overwrite the later file with the earlier file; ie, in the SyncToy preview window, the earlier NTFS file is defined as the source and the later FAT file is defined as the target.
