Remote Access: Can you turn off automatic locking of the computer? RRS feed

  • We use Mesh to remotely control a computer in another room that runs a Powerpoint presentation. It is very useful for this purpose, since we can also sync our presentation to that computer automatically.

    Unfortunately, we have to keep a keyboard connected and must hit Enter after using Remote Access due to Mesh wanting to lock the computer upon disconnect.

    Is there a setting to override this functionality? We know it's a security issue, but if we KNOW we want that feature disabled, and our Mesh itself is protected by a password, then we should be allowed to do it :) Pretty please?

  • No, there is no way to prevent the locking of the remote machine's desktop on disconnect. It isn't a Mesh security issue, it is a PC security issue. Suggesting this as an option (which has been made before) can be done by following the instructions here:
