Copy of windows vista not genuine

Question
-
Hi. Im having the same problems with those whos already posted here. My father bought me this laptop last year and its been working fine until the other day. A blank screen appears everytime I log in and tells me that i need to activate my version of windows. When i try to do this, it says :
The Windows Vista Home Basic product key you typed is invalid for activation. Then it gives me three options,
-Buy a new product key online
-Type a different product key
-Contact Microsoft to help resolve this problem
So the next time i start my computer, i close the dialog box. My screen is black and on the lower right it says:
Windows Vista (TM)
Build 6602
This copy of Windows is not genuine
Please, Please help?

For some reason, your PC has stopped communincating with the BIOS to self-activate on boot, using the OEM SLP key that's currently installed. (possibly because of a BIOS update?)
You need to change the key to the COA key on the sticker on the base of the laptop so that it can use the normal activation processes.
To do this, follow the 'use a diferent Key' link, and follow the instructions. You will have to Actvate by telephone.
PLEASE NOTE - this will NOT solve the problem with the install of Office on your system - which shows as being a BLocked Key for a version of office that is not available for resale - you need to claim a refund from the vendor, and/or get an OGA Kit from MS, or a new legal copy from a reputable store.
