MS CRM 4.0 Import Organization Login Problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • HI Guys,

I have been given a CRM server that has been mirrored and asked to configure the environment alike the old one. I imported the organization, mapped the users and modified the registry to change the database configuration string. And also updated the server table in MSCRM_config to point to the new server, even updated the CRMKeyProprties table and set the "Expireson" to a future date.

But now when I try logging into the organization it throws

" network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server) "

I am able to ping the Sql server from my App server. Please let me through this

    Thanks in advance

  • Hi,

Can you give it a try with the SQL server IP address?

    Thanks,
