  • When I click Help then About.  I get the following:

    Windows Live OneCare

    Version: 2.0.2500.22

Virus and spyware definition version: 1.31.9287.0

    Firewall policy version: 1.2.30.119

Your subscription is no longer active.

    Warning........

It does not say anything about my Windows live account

  • Has OneCare been installed and running on your PC for over a year? Prior to version 1.5, the subscription LiveID was not displayed in Help/About. When this was added to OneCare, older installation were unable to present the data as it was dependent on installation. Since your account currently appears to be expired, I would recommend simply uninstalling OneCare and then reinstalling the latest code from http://onecare.live.com - then activate a new subscription with a retail key or credit card information within 15 days.

If you wish to pursue the renewal option, the following may help:

If you don't recall the LiveID you used for your subscription, you will need to contact support who can provide that information to you using your Key and/or contact information.

How to reach support (FAQ) - http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsOneCare/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=2421771&SiteID=2

Alternatively, sign in at http://billing.microsoft.com with email addresses that you have set up as LiveIDs and one will show your subscription listed - that would the LiveID to use to activate with.
