Blackberry Headers RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have the outlook add-in that moves the mails to custom folders created on the fly based on the user input. I overridden the sentitems_itemadded event to move the items to the folders. The outlook moves the mail items to the folder with no issues. The issue is that these items are not delivered in the BlackBerry devices.

So I thought that adding a bit time delay to the process will add the blackberry headers (BES server) to the mail and the item will sent to the BlackBerry. The outcome was that the outlook hangs for some time but the mail items are not delivered to the BlackBerry devices.

Is there a way to make the BES adds the headers to the exchange mail items before outlook moves the mail to the specific folder?

  • Hi,

I believe the issue binds to BlackBerry device, but not focus on Outlook dev though. BlackBerry support would be right channel.  http://supportforums.blackberry.com/t5/General-Support-Forums/ct-p/GeneralSupportForums

  • Hi Forrest,

I am not at all checking what the blackberry does in the background but my requirement is limited to the Outlook.

As of current scenario, my code processes the mail once it reaches the SentItems (SentItems_ItemsAdded event).

It will be helpful if I get advise how I can delay my process till the BlackBerry headers are added to the mail and synced up to the outlook.

    Thanks in advance.
