Not sure if this was reported before (searched a bit). I came across a minor issue. Repro steps:
1. In a thread, click "reply" on someone's post = reply window opens up 2. Click "vote as helpful" on someone's post = upvote occurs, reply window disappears 3. Click "reply" again (since the window disappeared in step 2) = get a warning that reads, "You already have a reply open, please close before continuing."
The work-around is to simply refresh the page and reply. This applies to both Firefox 3.5.3 and IE 8.
Document my code? Why do you think it's called "code"?
I was just going to report this but found this post. It's exactly as Ahmad has documented. It makes sense that the Vote as Helpful click would cause a postback and the reply text would be lost unless there were some validation or logic to save the reply text. I suggest that the reply either be saved or the user is prompted to save or discard. ThanksPaul Turley, MVP [Hitachi Consulting]
