Computer tells me my windows is not genuine. RRS feed

  • Everytime I turn on my computer it tells me that My copy of Windows is not valid and to retype the product Key. I retype it but it says that the

    product key is not genuine. I don't get it, I bought the Office Home and Student 2010 on March 14, off of http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/professional/

    I have the receit, But I didn't buy the back up disc and I never got a box. The product Key that is shown is not the key that was sent to me. Please

    You need to activate Windows.  Click Start and type "activate."

    The key showing in the report is the default key inserted when Windows is installed without entering a key.   If Vista came preinstalled on your Toshiba you can find the product key on the COA label affixed to the computer's case or in the battery compartment (some laptops).  If it is a retail copy it is on the COA sticker inside the dvd case.

    This issue has nothing to do with Office Home and Student so I don't understand your reference to it.
