  • Question

  • I get this error about once every three boots.  After reading many posts here, I see it's a common issue.

I'm running a Mac Pro with a virtual machine running Vista (using Parallels)  All was working perfectly until I installed SP1 - since then, it's been hell.

    Here's my diag information.

  • RickEff,

When you Activate Vista on the new computer, you must use the Activate by Phone method. And when you call, you will first hear an Automated Voice that will try to Activate Vista for you. If the Atomated Voice gives you an option to talk to a Live Activation Rep, select that option. If not, do not enter any numbers. This should force the Automated Voice to transfer you to a Live Activation Rep. Trying to Activate thru the Automated Voice will not work, in your case, only thru the Live Activation Rep will your Activation be successful.

    Thank you,
