    I have an SD Card made by Ford Motor Company and it contains maps for life for my pick'em up truck.  I bought a new one about 12 months ago and removed this one and installed the new one.  I wanted to recycle this one, but it is write protected; not with the little tab on the left side, but somewhere in the software.  I would love to reuse this thing to make backups of my programs, but it won't let me.  Is there a way to unprotect this SD card so I can format it and reuse it?  Would it work to use a large magnetic and erase everything?  Or will it totally destroy it?  I've got a really large magnetic but I'm not sure what the outcome would be.
