  • The HTML for your bulleted list doesn't look good.  IE7 cannot render it properly, it looks good in FireFox.  Not sure how you created that list, looks like it got pasted from an Office program.

The new post editor is murder for IE users.  Worse than it has been.  You need to experiment a bit but I think you can create bulleted lists by inserting a <p> and </p> tag around the lines you want to put in the list with the HTML editor.  Switch back, select the lines, then use the toolbar button.

Other than that, the post editor works much better in FireFox.  Recommended.  I can't fix your post, you'll need help from somebody that has moderator rights in that forum.

  • Come to think of it, you can fix it yourself since it is your post.  Click Edit, then HTML.  Get rid of all the divs and spans and the nested <li>.

  • I don't see the connection between the Title (Strange Formatting) and the problem (Cannot delete/edit my post, the user (and me too) cannot reply :-)

  • Hi Mike,

I mean that it's impossible to reply/edit/delete the post, because the "Reply", "Edit" and "Delete" links are missing. My signature is out of the post window. The cause seems the strange formatting of my reply in that thread.
    Be patient with my english.
    Thanks,

  • Hi nobugz,

    thanks for your reply.

The links were pasted from Word and the bulleted list created just in the post (button "Unordered list" in the formatting toolbar).

    Cheers,

  • Hi nobugz,

I can edit all my other posts (I'm logged in) but not that post, that's "damaged", the links "Edit", "Reply", etc. are missing.

  • Sounds good.  I never use IE, what does F11 do?  Please close the thread by marking it answered.

  • Hi nobugz,

Hitting "F11" on the keyboard IE goes in Full Screen mode, then I discovered the "Reply", "Edit", "Delete" etc. links in the upper-right corner of the web page, so I was able to delete my post and make a new one.

    Thank you.
    Have a nice day,
