Home page missing from serp RRS feed

  • Question

  •

    Hello all,

For some reason my home page has gone missing in the serp, no errors in the Webmasters section and all the other pages are indexed fine.

URL is in my profile. Any ideas?

  • Hi Vegan Fanatic

Thanks for taking the time to have a look!

It validates in W3C, what kind of errors do you mean?

And in what way is it not very well built?

  • I see...

You have Contract spelled wrong in your meta description.

  • Well,

I can't fault you for the coding. You are passing XHTML Strict validation which is rare here. Not to sound condescending, but great job on that--kind of refreshing.

However, I am not sure what you mean that your home page is missing from SERPs:

    http://search.live.com/results.aspx?mkt=en-us&q=site%3Aanistoncenter.com&FORM=TOOLBR

it shows up as the first result...

as well on pg.3 for the query, "Jennifer Aniston":

    http://search.live.com/results.aspx?q=jennifer+aniston&first=21&FORM=PERE2

We have 400+ pages indexed from your site (98%)

Actually, I would go so far as to say I think your site is a great example for others.

  • Thank you Brett, for the time and the compliment!

It's back now??? For several days the home page was missing in the serp. It was indexed, and showed as you say but not in any of the first 30 pages.

Its back now in it's usual ( way to low :-) position and also for the single keyword Aniston on page one. So I don't know what happened.

Oh and BTW, Yahoo has over 80k pages so 400 is a "little" low. Not sure why MSN would consider 400 pages 98%.

    Anyway thank you!!

    Bill
