How to enable TLS 1.1 or TLS 1.2 security encryption protocol with .NET 4.0 Apps RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

My application is a windows application built on .NET framework 4.0. We consume the thirdparty products webservice through service reference (API integration).

Now the third party is going to disable the Encryption protocol TLS 1.0.

So how and where to enable the TLS 1.1/ TLS 1.2 with my windows app (.Net framework 4.0). Please guide.

    Thanks

  • Assuming you're using the standard Internet stuff of .NET then the IE settings control that feature.  There is nothing in .NET you'd need to configure.

  • Hi ,

Thank you for visiting the MSDN forum. I’m afraid that it is not the correct forum about this issue, since this forum is to discuss Visual C#. I am moving your question to the moderator forum ("Where is the forum for..?"). The owner of the forum will direct you to a right forum. Thanks for your understanding.

    Best regards,
