convert bank CSV2OFX for MSmoney RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have downloaded the tool 2013? version *28 and the various sample files. I am unable to create an OFX file for my overseas bank currency XCD (east Caribbean dollars). This is the correct symbol in money.  The programme is looking for a currency symbol in front of the amount in the csv file or it does not read the csv file data. It does not recognise XCD.

The money programme has a default currency of GBP which I have put in the props file.

When I put £ in front of the csv amount entries the tool reads the csv file correctly and creates a complete OFX file in sterling, which, of course, won't go into the bank account ledger in money.

Can you suggest how I can get over this problem please?

  • Maybe put another currency symbol such as ¥ or $. Let the tool generate an OFX file. Then modify the <CURDEF> value to XCD.

Or take the csv file you already made and change <CURDEF>GBP to <CURDEF>XCD.
