Bug report - explorer side bar becomes "disconnected" from explorer window. RRS feed

  • General discussion

  • Hi everyone

(I've been trying to post this for a couple of days now, but for some reason I can no longer start new topics using Firefox 3 - it was fine a few days ago, but several restarts later and I simply get a page reload)

Thought I'd point you all to a bug I've reported, which may have been reported before (couldn't see it, so...)

    Description
When opening an explorer window, if part of the right hand side of it is under the Vista sidebar (and the Vista sidebar is told to stay on top of other windows), or if part of the right hand side of a folder is outside of the visible desktop, when you select a Mesh folder the explorer Mesh sidebar becomes "disconnected" and jumps between its "disconnected" position and the correct position when you move the explorer window.

Sometimes, moving the window will make the sidebar jump into the correct position, but often it won't. The only surefire way to make the sidebar jump to the correct position is to click either the right hand side of the explorer window or the left hand side of the Mesh sidebar.

I have been able to reproduce this bug in both XP Home SP3 and Vista HP SP1. The attached files show both OSs.
