Not receiving forum alerts

Question
-
I have not received any forum alerts since March 11, despite there having been updates to some of the relevant threads. For example, I have an alert set up for this thread:
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/isvvba/thread/48e8c30c-24ee-458e-a873-a4e6e13f5926
It was updated on March 24, but I received no notification, Have checked Spam etc, but there is still no sign of any alert.
Similarly http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w8itprogeneral/thread/14cedd95-b3b0-4830-be00-da793dda9e27 has been updated several times since March 11 without me being alerted.- Edited by Julian Ladbury Sunday, March 31, 2013 11:16 AM Add information

You might try unsubscribe and re-configure alerts in My Settings.

Sadly things are still not working. I just signed on and discovered there have been two updates to http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w8itprogeneral/thread/14cedd95-b3b0-4830-be00-da793dda9e27 since I re-configured alerts. I was not notified of either of them.

Pan,
I checked the link you suggested but don't think it looks relevant to me, insofar as I regularly sign out of Live and empty my cache. Not only that, but the problem seems selective: I was indeed alerted to the updates to this post made by Dave Patrick and yourself, but other alerts such as those I mentioned above are failing (some more info; they are old alerts which have worked perfectly in the past). It seems to me that alerts stopped working in mid March: an impression reinforced by the fact that the thread you suggested was resurrected around that time.
As suggested elsewhere on this site, I have raised the issue at 'fissues@microsoft.com'

I'm seeing alerts selectively not work over the past couple of days. Some threads I'll get alerts on, others I will not.

Hi Julian,
Would you please provide information below for us to investigate the issue?
1. Please let us know the email address that you configure to receive alerts.
2. Please sign in the forum site and confirm if your alert configuration is still there.
3. Pease let us know if the issue persists? Is it intermittent for you or you cannot receive all forum alerts?
4. Please confirm that when you write a post, have you ever select the option "Alert me when someone responds to this post" or click "Alert me" which is shown at the left top of the first post in threads.
We will update you here with any progress or if more information is needed.

Yubo,
Taking your questions in order:
1. I would prefer not to put my email address in this thread. Do you have another way I could get it to you? Perhaps you could dig out the issue I sent to 'fissues@microsoft.com' on April 2. Note that the email address I sent it from is not the alerts address, but the email does include that information.
2. Yes the configuration is still there
3. I cannot be sure. I was indeed alerted to the two recent posts in this thread, one of which was yours. However, there has been no activity on my other alerts since I last posted here, so I cannot tell if they would work.
4. I so confirm

Hi Julian,
Please first confirm if you can receive alert about this post.
I have a test on forum alerts with my teammates, the function works fine at our end. We have used @Hotmail.com and @Microsoft.com as the mail to receive alerts. Every time our test thread is replied, we can receive forum alerts immediately.
Would you please reconfigure your forum alert settings or change the mail that receive forum alerts to another one? After that, please monitor some time and reply this thread if the issue persists.

Hi Julian,
Would you reconfigure your forum alert settings and monitor some time to see if there is still alerts missing?
Besides, for the two threads that you mentioned in your first post of this thread, would you re-subscribe them to alert you and see if you can receive alerts?

Hi Yubo,
I have updated 'My Forum Links > My Settings'
not to alert me, and then back to alerting me.
I have also removed and reinstated the alerts to the two threads. Sadly, people seem to have lost interest in them recently, so it might be some while before I know whether or not that worked.

Julian, do you receive email alert of my reply on this thread and Windows 8 File history thread?
I finished the test and also did not receive email alert of posts in Windows 8 File history thread. I was wondering this may be because the thread is too long.
Do you encounter the issue with other threads?

Yubo,
I received an alert to your post in this thread, but not to the one in the Windows 8 File History one.
In recent days I have also received alerts to one other thread (http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/worddev/thread/e2e04c42-0844-4e04-bcc6-851809a64da6/).
I have not received alerts to either of the threads I mentioned in my initial post, despite both of them having been updated.

Still an issue. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/w8itprogeneral/thread/14cedd95-b3b0-4830-be00-da793dda9e27 was updated 7 hours ago, but I received no alert.
I did receive alerts to the recent changes on this thread.

I still need to get this verified as to whether this was logged as a bug or not.

Hi Julian,
Have you tried to use another email for forum alerts from http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/user?returnUrl=http%3A%2F%2Fsocial.msdn.microsoft.com%2FForums%2Fen-US%2Fuser%2Falerts ? Because forums were sending alerts to all users except you, it is possible that some of the alert emails were blocked by your side.
BTW, we were experiencing email elert issues. It should be fixed tomorrow. I will let you know when you can test it again.
Regards, Jundan

Yubo,
I do get alerts from this and some other threads.
The last update to http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/14cedd95-b3b0-4830-be00-da793dda9e27/windows-8-file-history-excessive-backup-excessively-saving-copies-of-files-photos-videos#e1924884-723d-4332-bf2c-b76a181c1e9e was on Tuesday, June 18, 2013 3:04 PM. I did NOT get an alert for it.
Obviously, I have no way of knowing whether any fixes that have been applied since Tuesday, June 18, 2013 3:04 PM have worked.

Julian, the latest update form the thread http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/14cedd95-b3b0-4830-be00-da793dda9e27/windows-8-file-history-excessive-backup-excessively-saving-copies-of-files-photos-videos#e1924884-723d-4332-bf2c-b76a181c1e9e is Friday, June 28, 2013 12:28 AM, do you get alerts for the posts after June 18, 2013 3:04 PM?

Yubo,
I have had no alerts for updates on that thread for a long time now; certainly no alert to the Friday, June 28, 2013 12:28 AM update you mention.
I have been getting alerts to other updates - those in this thread for example, also recently to an update on June 25 to http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/6502a726-b641-46eb-ae2f-94acc16bc8ea/windows-8-synctoy-21-task-scheduler-error.
