  • HI

well ther is a couple of things to check.
But first a couple of questions if you don,t mind.

    1.Where is your sql installed?

2.Is your sql server agent running?

3.What happens if you type in the name of your server in the deplyment wizard?

4.Did you install all required software and service packs?

  • Hi Tiaan First Thank you for your response The answers are: 1.Where is your sql installed? The sql server is on the new machine. 2.Is your sql server agent running? Yes 3.What happens if you type in the name of your server in the deplyment wizard? Well, the server hangs for seconds then gives the message "unable to retrieve list of databases from the specified server" 4.Did you install all required software and service packs? Yes.

  • Hi everybody Thanks for your interest I checked my databases names and they are both written in uppercase as they should. also, the [sql broweser service] is started automatically. note: During the SQL server2005 installation some components were not installed [workstation components] so I installed SQL server 2008 Management Studio to be able to manage the server. I don't know if that matters Thanks for all

  • Hi,

thats right. In this case you must first update your CRM Database from version 3 to version 4.
