Can I remove Drive D: From The Server Storage Pool RRS feed

  • Question

  • I do not want to use the D: Drive that was created during the Installation of Windows Home Server in the Server Storage Pool. I have several Raid Arrays added to WHS that I want to use excusively.

Is there a way to remove the Shares from Drive D: and the Volume from the available Server Storage for WHS?

Currently nothing has been added to any of these drives. It is a new install.

  • No, you can't remove D: from the storage pool. In a sense, it is the storage pool; it's where your shares are, and where the tombstones that point to your actual files on other volumes are.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
