Buttons on a subgrid are missing when exported and imported as a managed solution to different environment. RRS feed

  • We have two entities Account and Location. We have location as the subgrid on the account form. We added a system button "Add Existing Location" to the subgrid ribbon of the Location.

    when we click subgrid-location of the Account Form,the "Add Existing Location" button is expected to apper on the ribbon which is not happening now.

    This funtionality is implemented in DEV environment where it is working fine as expected. when the solution is exported as managed solution and is imported to other environment as managed solution the buttons are missing and the functionality is faling.

    Working on this to find a solution from more than a week,Please help and provide your valuable suggestions.

    Did you adding the Application Ribbon client extension to the managed solution you're exporting and re-importing? Do you have any errors in the CRM trace?

  • Hi Natarajan,

    Does your Users thru security roles have access to the Location entity? You might want to check the Append/Append To access.

    As this is a managed solution, I guess you should create a security role with privileges to the managed entity and make sure that the Users have this security role to gain access to the entity.
