  • Where can I find information about how to redirect information to a location where it can persist after a reboot.

For example, how can I set up Word and Excel so dictionary changes, macros can persist after a reboot.?

For example, how can I set up Firefox so changes in addons can persist after a reboot?

For example, how can I change My Documents location?

Hi Ray, it seems that you are talking about some programs with Windows Disk Protection in Windows SteadyState. If you have enabled WDP ("Remove all changes art restart" for example), those changes to system partition will be discarded after restarting. If you want to change settings, you may need to save them on another partition or network share or removable devices.

For applications, you can check if those settings can be redirect to another partition. For Microsoft Office products, you can start your query via the link:

You can also right click on "My Documents", choose Properties and change its location to another partition or network share.

    Hope this helps!
