I need some clarification on how the Communicator sessions work please:
As example: The OCS Front-End etc Servers are hosted inside the corporate LAN and the Edge Servers located at the ISP. So if an External User (via ADSL) establish a communicator audio session with another External User (also via ADSL):
What does the communication path/route look like ? P2P ?
Hello, If you have Two users Lets Say User A from Internet calling User B in Internal Network, User A sends his Candidates (Local IP and ISP router Public Ip ) to the Internal MOC user and Internal MOC user sends its Candidates (Its local IP and Edge Server IP). Once the Two MOC users finds its best route to open the RTP traffic they start Negociate each other and establish the connection. Only RTP traffic flows P2P but the SIP signal flows through the Edge and FE. If its Conference then the RTP traffic flows through the MCU's in OCS Front End server.
IN MOC to MOC call between two users it can be internal or External , RTP traffic flows P2P.
Hope this Helps. Jithendranath Reddy
