Question about browsing for OU to install Dynamic CRM RRS feed

  • Question

  • I set up a virtual Windows 2003 machine using Hyper-V.  The 2003 virtual machine is on our domain

I am trying to install the Dynamic CRM, and get to the point when it asks what OU to install into.  I can't browse for a OU, says its not allowed......

Any ideas on how to resolve this?  When I try to browse for the OU, I get the message:  Unable to browse for Active Directory objects......

    thanks,
    Steve

  • Hi Steve,

It seems like that you don't have access to your AD. Instead of asking for domain admin rights (hard to ask for this kind of permission sometimes. :) ), just ask your AD admin to create a CRM OU and have them grant to read, create user group access to that specific OU, then you should able to get CRM install. During the installation process, it will create couple user groups in there.

    I hope this helps.
