How to show an alert messages based on parameter validation in SSRS reports

  Hi,

  We are having one requirement in a critical enterprise application as mentioned below.

  Start and End Dates need to include as parameters in dashboard with validations by comparing with Year parameter (Please find the explanation as mentioned below)

  1. Dashboard will have Year, Start Date and End Date parameters

  2. User will select year, start date and end date

  3. If start date or end date are not falling under selected year, need to show the alert message

  We are using Report Builder 3.0 for creating the RDL file and calling the same RDL file from SharePoint 2010 SQL Server Reporting Services Report Viewer webpart

  Can you please provide how to achieve the validation with alert message here.
