    I cant log into my windows live id to finish the set up. I get error code 80048869

    There are a couple things to check for this error:

     

    1.  Make sure internet explorer is not set to "Work Offline" > check under File menu by pressing the "ALT" button in IE to show the File menu.

     

    2.  Make sure that your Date / Time / Year are set correctly in Windows > double click on your clock in the bottom right

     

    3.  You may also want to empty your temp internet files from Internet Explorer > Tools / Internet Options / Delete button
