  • Since a few days I get an anouncement in outlook that our office 2003 isn't valid. I ran MGA Diagnostic Tool with following results:

  • Hello H and H,

    Here is a snippet of your mgadiag report:

    OGA Data-->
    Office Status: 114 Blocked VLK 2
    Microsoft Office Professional Editie 2003 - 114 Blocked VLK 2
    OGA Version: Registered, 2.0.48.0

    This is telling us that the installation of MS Office Professional Edition 2003 is a Volume Licensing Edition, and that it was installed with a now-blocked Volume Licensing Key.  Volume Licensing Editons of MS Office are properly used only by businesses, governments, and schools.  They are not normally used by individual consumers.  The business, agency, or school that originally owned this Volume Licensing Key worked with Microsoft to change their Key and Microsoft blocked the original Product Key to put a halt to further pirating of this Product Key.  This probably explains why the Product Key was shown as Genuine when you first bought the computer but is now no longer showing as Genuine.

    To correct the situation, you may want to go back to the place of purchase and demand the Genuine Microsoft Office program that you paid for, or a refund.  You should also consider filing a piracy report at www.microsoft.com/piracy.  Please review the FAQ to read about the Office Genuine Offer to see if you qualify for a complimentary or discounted replacement for your nongenuine Office: http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/downloads/FAQ.aspx?displaylang=en#ID0EKNAC

    It is regrettable that you have become a victim of software counterfeiting.  Hopefully you can get the situation resolved with a minimum of expense and frustration.
