Synctoy 2.1 Echo bug

    Question

  • Source Folder had two files: haha.txt, haha2.txt

    Target Folder had none.

    1. Setup Synctoy 2.1 to Echo files in Source folder to Target folder using Create New Folder Pair. Call it "testing"!

    2. Run Echo once. All files in Source Folder copied correctly to Target Folder. Good!

Source Folder had two files: haha.txt, haha2.txt

Target Folder had two files: haha.txt, haha2.txt

    3. Delete haha2.txt in Target Folder.

Source Folder had two files: haha.txt, haha2.txt

Target Folder had one file left: haha.txt

    4. Run/Preview Echo again. Nothing was done! SyncToy DID NOT copy haha2.txt to Target folder!!! This is the BUG!!!

    5. Used Change Options to set the Folder Pair "testing" to Check File Content!

    6. Run/Preview Echo again. Now haha2.txt was copied to the Target Folder!!!!

This serious bug was also avoidable by always deleting Folder Pair "testing" and creating it again before running/previewing!!!

FYI, I am using 64-bit Win 8 Pro.
