  • Can anyone else repro this?

    Thanks!

  • Heh - I finally managed to get a working feed (once!)

Now all I have to do is wait for someone to post and see if it works again.

I suspect that it may be something to do with my internet connection - it's been horrendously unstable all day (3G dongle)

The only reason that I wanted it was because the NNTP was down, and it's better than refresehing multiple forum listings all day - so now that the Bridge is up and running the need has decreased.

It also took two or three attempts to get my other two  most-visited forums (genuine.windows7 and genuine.xp) so it was probably just an extreme case.

When I looked at the feed properties in either IE or WLM, the whole lot were blank, apart from the name - so possibly the pages weren't properly pulling down whatever data is required. When I attempted to create the feed manually that also failed.

  • Nope - they've died again, and prevent all other feeds from updating.

Trying to re-subscribe, I get the following error on all three forums

Internet Explorer cannot display this feed

    A normalization error has occurred.

Go back to the previous page.

  • Still an issue? I cannot repro. Could this be an IE cookie issue?

    Thanks!

  • I suspect it's more likley an issue with WLM - it's not been a problem since I got rid of it in favour of Forte Agent, after Live Mail junked my email and forums for the third time in 4 months.

  • But it's unique to forums?

Would this fit into asking here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windowslive/forum/liveid

    Or here...? http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-live/id-help-center

    Thanks!
