R2 dial-in conferncing: entering your PIN RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,
I'm running into an issue with OCS R2 dialin conferencing. When people dial in to a conference using the 800 number we have set up, the can either join anonymously or as an "authenticated user". That's all fine and dandy.

The problem is that when our users join as an authenticated user, they are prompted for their extension and PIN. When the attendant lady starts asking for your extension, you can just start putting the numbers in right over her voice. But then when she starts asking for your PIN, you need to wait until she finishes saying "Enter your PIN, and when you are finished, press the # key". You can't enter your PIN until she's done!

This, while not a major malfunction, is highly annoying & confuses users who think that they may have entered in the wrong PIN or something like that.

I think it's a bug because in every other case, you can just enter DTMF over the lady's voice. But in this one case, you can't.

Anyone else see this? If so: any ideas on how to fix it? Otherwise... I'm gonna see if I can file a bug.

    Any help is appreciated, thanks!

    Regards,
    Matt

  • Never mind - fixed this with some changes to DTMF, as noted in this post.
