Things I like to See in a final Tune-up Release RRS feed

  • Here's a Top 3 List of What I think Tune up Should be and how it performs.


    #1: All errors fixed


    #2: Task Order

    *Disck Clean up

    *Registry Cleaner

    *AV/spy scan and removal

    *Check for Microsoft/Windows Updates

    *Bakup if Enabled Hidden if not used (Windows Vista Possible config)


    *Report to One Care services Tune-up resaults


    #3: Customizable Option  Complete/or Customize Tune up Scans (options to change #2)

    I second that. I'd love the ability to run custom tune-up's. Ideally, I'd break the time consuming takes out and run those on a separate schedule.


    I'd also think that having a gadget replace the bubble pop up would be cool under Vista.

  • These are great suggestions, but I would point out one problem with the order.  You want to defrag before you run your AV.  Otherwise you are scanning fragmented files.  Depending on how you use your system this could be sssslllloooowww.  I would defrag after the registry cleaner and then flow with the rest.
