Restore Folders RRS feed

  • Question

  •

A hard drive on my computer recently crashed.  I have installed a replacement drive, and I am trying to restore files that I backed up using WLOC (ver 2).  Is there a way to tell it just to restore whole folders, as I don't want to have to individually select each file, and I am worried that a full restore will replace new versions of some files with older files?  Thank you for any advice.

  • You can restore individual files with a custom restore through the rather difficult interface, but OneCare restore will not overwrite newer files already on the PC. If it encounters a file with the same name in the location where it wants to restore to, it will place the restored copy in an alternate location and will report that to you at the end of the process.
