[Feature Request] Recognition of pasted Skydrive <Embed> Code RRS feed

  • Question

  • It would really be nice to be able to copy & paste Windows Live Skydrive embedding HTML code directly into the "Web Layout" view and have the Skydrive download links just "appear" in the same way that embedding HTML code for Soapbox can be copied & pasted directly into the "Web Layout" function.  This would save folks from the effort of having to "pop into HTML Code View" just to insert the "embed" HTML code for links to files they've posted to Skydrive.

To be honest, this is the sort of little bits of integration I kinda expect in a Windows Live product.   To go above and beyond, it'd be even BETTER if you could drag-and-drop files directly into Windows Live Writer and have the program upload the file to the user's Windows Live Skydrive store, then automatically render the link/graphic for the download into the blog post.

This would make sharing files and posting them an absolute breeze in the same way that you folks are doing with Soapbox videos.

  • In the meantime, you could use my SkyDrive plugin :) http://gallery.live.com/liveItemDetail.aspx?li=27545581-4b54-4f6d-9007-ed3b168dab43

  • And for copying the embedded HTML code, you can use Paste Special (Ctrl+Shift+V), this will save you from popping into HTML Code view.
