Hello Billmallett,
Please refer to a posting by NightOps located here http://social.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/genuinewindowsxp/thread/a1d0284c-4716-4a1c-9be4-16401067131d/ . Here you will find information and another link which may shed some light. Also where did you purchase Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007? Please verify the Certificate of Authenticity (COA) sticker and the media against examples located on http://www.howtotell.com . I would recommend filing a piracy report for Office by following the proceedures located http://www.microsoft.com/piracy/ .
Thank you Bill,

You have many problems:
1. Your edition of Windows is a VLK, which is only legal if you have a VL agreement, or campus agreement.
2. You need to be a student or techer at that university, or it is a violation of the COA.
3. Office is using a blocked VLK, mening the owner reported it as stolen.
4. I think your VLK key may be tied to your school's IP range, so it is blocked outside of the school?
