  • How did you purchase OneCare? Did you install from a retail CD or did you purchase and activate online?

If you have not activated OneCare, then follow the instructions from eaLazerBeam's post.

If you activated/subscribed, and if your subscription to OneCare shows expired or about to expire in OneCare

    • Check your PC date and time.
    • Check your subscription status by logging in with your subscription LiveID at http://billing.microsoft.com
    • Confirm that this is the same LiveID shown to be the Subscription ID in OneCare - Help/About...

If your subscription is correctly shown at the Billing site, but incorrect in OneCare and your PC date and time are correct, please contact support.

  • Hi,

If you purchased OneCare online, then click the Subscribe Now button in the main OneCare window and login using the Windows Live ID you used to purchase your subscription. This should activate OneCare.

If you bought a retail box, then click the Subscribe Now button in the main window, login using your Windows Live ID and you will be redirected to the OneCare billing website. Select the option to enter a prepaid PIN, and enter the product key from inside your retail pack. Then return to OneCare and login again, and this should activate OneCare for you.
