Only two consoles can be open concurrently? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I am testing Windows Home Server using the Evaluation version downloaded from Microsoft.  When we try to open more than two Home Server Consoles we receive an error message that the number of terminal services connections has been exceeded.

Is this a limitation of the Evaluation version or of activated versions as well?

Is this a problem with the CALs?  I understood that WHS supports up to 10 concurrent users.

Is there a way to enable additional terminal services sessions if this is not a limitation in WHS?

    Thank you.

  • This is a limitation of Terminal Server, which is configured in administration mode. You can have a maximum of 2 TS connections.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
