Flickering screen after Windows update RRS feed

  • Question

  • An appx, downloaded via the WindowsStore, made with Delphi 10.2.3 works on 'older' Windows versions but not on Windows version V1709, Build 16299.64 and later however the same appx works on every Windows version, as long as it is not installed via the WindowsStore (and a self signed appx works always, no matter which Windows version). As soon as you hit a component the screen starts flickering. What can be the reason of this and what is the difference when installing an appx which is downloaded via the WindowsStore and installing the appx directly?

  • Hi,

The appx package will be compiled again when uploaded to the store.

Since your are making the app with a third party tool, I suggest that you might need to ask about this in their forum.

  • It's not necesarry to ask this question in their forum because the problem is caused by Microsoft. With Windows versions before V1709, Build 16299.64 everything was working perfect and after this update it's not. Question is still the same: what did Micosoft changed in the versions V1709 and later that causes the problem.

PS. It can't be something is the compiling proces because if the appx is downloaded on a system with Windows V1709 (or earlier) the app is working and after the update it's not working anymore.
