Windows 10 backup RRS feed

  • Question

  • Have a Windows 8.1 pc with Home Server agent installed and working. This includes access to dashboard and backup. After upgrading the pc to Windows 10 backup dont work anymore.

    Following message is given: "Backup cannot connect to the Windows Server Client Computer Backup Provider Service on your network computer. If this problem persists, you may be able to resolve this issue by restarting the client computer."

    Have tried restarting, but it didnt help. Any suggestions?

  • Hi,

    You may follow the steps to confirm below configuration:
    Services - Windows Server Client Computer Backup Provider Service – Properties - Log On tab - Make sure its running under Local System account, and uncheck Allow service to interact with desktop.

    Save the change and take a backup again to confirm the result.

    If the problem still persists, I want to confirm with you that if this problem only happened on Windows 10 client?
