  • Hi there.  I just went to download the newest version of DirectX for Vista, and the very same thing happened to me.  I'm suddenly using a non-validated copy of Vista even though it was fine an hour ago.  It happened right when I went to validate before downloading DirectX.

And Vista has been activated successfully.  I did the phone activation again for good measure just a few minutes ago, but it didn't help one bit.

What the heck is going on?

  • Nobody knows the problem yet, but the entire first page of this forum is about this issue, if you havn't noticed.

  • That was really just a rhetorical question, Primexx, used to voice my frustration. Smile  After posting my first message, I did see a thread started by another user who contacted WGA Support, and they seem to be aware of the problem and are working on a fix.  So I suppose we just have to wait.
