Windows 7 Build 7601 Not Genuine.

Question
-
Last night I received a notification that my copy of Windows is not genuine on my ASUS laptop. I purchased the laptop in August 2011 from Best Buy and it has been running just fine until yesterday. I would really appreciate help in discovering why this occurred, and how to fix it.
Thank you very much.

I suspect that you updated the BIOS recently??The problem is that your system is unable to read the BIOS SLIC table that should be present in the system to be able to self-activate the OS.You need to change the Product Key to the one on the COA sticker on the machine's case, using the Change Product Key link at the bottom of the System properties page. You may need to activate by phone.

Hmmm, I do not recall updating my BIOS recently.
Thanks for the help I will try to change the product key to the COA sticker key.
Edited to add: The COA key worked, thank you very much!
