Readonly field anomaly RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have created a custom attribute in the account entity, called bsi_id

    on the account form i have marked it as readonly.

     in the code, in the OnSave event i have included: crmForm.all.bsi_id.ForceSubmit=true;

     when the form is updated, the attrribute is updated with the new calculated value.

     HOWEVER, if the updated record is suspected to be a duplicate and user selected to save the record anyway, the readonly attribute is NOT saved in the DB

    Has anyone else experienced this behavior? is there a workaround for it?

    thanks

  • I have not encountered such behavior but since you’re using script why not use

    crmForm.all.bsi_id.Disabled=true

    crmForm.all.bsi_id.ForceSubmit=true

    instead of disabling using customizations

  • Hi,

    In our case it is working fine!!
    Try by putting crmForm.all.bsi_id.ForceSubmit=true; in the onload event of your entity's form.
    May be that could help !!
