Anti-virus out of date warning... how to prevent? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I keep getting an out of date warning for a machine on my network that I wan't WHS to ignore.  I keep hitting "remember this setting" but it keeps coming back.  Is there a way to fix this (other than updating the virus signature)?

It should remember that setting (at least until you reboot the server).  The only way to completely get rid of it is to switch to an OS that is older than Vista (Vista and Seven both monitor the health of your computer, then report it to your server).  However, why not just update the antivirus?  If it's not at least semi-up-to-date, it's pretty much worthless anyway.

  • If the client OS is Windows7 (beta) the warning will probably appear after each reboot / shutdown of the client.
