The personal HP Laptop (DV6000) had Windows Vista Home Premium OEMAct
The hard disk crashed recently and now i got a new hard disk but need to download the Windows vista software since CD was not there when i purchased the Laptop.
Please help

Vista is no longer available. There is a slim chance that if you contact HP you might be able to get a recovery CD from them, but that is doubtful. You'll probably want to move to Windows 7.

Official Vista downloads still available from Digital River, however these come as WIM images, not as ISO. Manual conversion is a bit tedious.

Other solution: Request a replacement disk from MS here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326246 (however, a small processing fee will apply).
