Word is corrupted. Can I replace it? RRS feed

  • Question

When I attempt to save Word documents the document freezes and my cpu is at 100%.  I have no choice but to use Task Manager to end the program.  I have then lost the document.  I would like to remove Word and reinstall.  Is this possible?  Thank you.

  • Yes, you shouldnt have any problems. My recommendation is to completly uninstall the Office suite (which is what I am assuming you are using), do a defrag and then install the Office suite fresh. I know it sounds like a lot of work, and it is.  I am sure that others will give you something simpler to do, but in years of doing this I have found that this is usually the best solution.
