bcm cannot update sql server express

Question
-
Recently updated machine to win 7/outlook /c bcm. No problem. Later a conflict on another program forced a system restore. Unfortunately I lost bcm and now will not install giving the following error,
"Setup for BCM for Outlook 2010 cannot upgrade the installed version of SQL Server Express to SQL Server Express 2008. Remove the installed version ... before installing BCM"
The only SQL server listing that shows on the uninstall screen is setup support files for sql 2008 that was part of the install attempt.
Suggestions?

I am not familiar with BCM. Is the the CRM outlook client you are talking about?

My apologies, BCM is Business Contact Manager 2010 for Outlook 2010.
