status page for bing translator service RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a status page where we can look to see how the translator service is doing in real time, or do we just have to trust that anytime we see "ServerTooBusy" in our logs that the service is having a problem?

  • Good. Thanks for letting us know.

A good method to see if the translation service is functioning is to perform a translation in the same language pair on www.bin.com/translator. If it works, it is most likely a problem with your application code, the content you are trying to translate, or the parameters to the API call.

If the translation on www.bing.com/translator doesn't work, in all likelihood we already know that, and are working hard to fix it, as quickly as possible.

  • Hi Jeff,

do a translation on www.bing.com/translator to see if the service has a problem.

If you receive a "server too busy" you may be sending too fast. Can you add the details of what you are seeing here?

    Thanks,

  • Starting at 3:49pm Pacific most non-English to English translations are failing. Update shortly.
