Report in Solution Fails to Import RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have some custom SSRS reports originally developed in CRM 2011 on-premises, moved the solution to CRM 2013 on-premises and then from there to CRM 2015 online. However, when I try to import my solutions in CRM 2015 it fails when it starts importing the SSRS reports (Type = Report (Reporting Services Report)) saying "You do not have permission to access these records....". I have a feeling I do something in the reports that is only supported on CRM on-premises but not CRM online. Any input is appreciated.

  • CRM online only supports Fetch based report, however onpremise supports sql based and fetch based.

    Also CRM 2015 doesn't support CRM 2011 solution

  • Thanks. I do use

    * Embedded connection: checked
    * Type: Microsoft Dynamics CRM Fetch
    * Connection string: https://crm.[company].com
    * Credentials: Use this user name and password: ...

    Is the fact that I have a fixed URL and fixed credentials the issue? If so how do I set this so that I don't need to adjust the solution when the solution is important to a different deployment?

  • You can do a test to create a report, then upload that specific report to have a try.

    From the error looks like the privilege is missing not report issue.
